About Us
The Santa Clara County Intergroup Service Council is the local service body of the several hundred Alcoholics Anonymous groups of Santa Clara County, California. This site is maintained by us to provide information regarding the A.A. meetings in our county, A.A. service committee meetings and other Northern California intergroups. Anyone desiring to find general information regarding the AA program of recovery from alcoholism should visit our world-wide General Service Office Web site at http://aa.org. Information about Spanish speaking meetings in Santa Clara County is available at http://www.aaespanolsanjose.org. Alcoholics Anonymous is a fellowship of men and women who share their experience, strength and hope with each other that they may solve their common problem and help others to recover from alcoholism. The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop drinking. There are no dues or fees for AA membership; we are self-supporting through our own contributions. AA is not allied with any sect, denomination, politics, organization or institution; does not wish to engage in any controversy; neither endorses nor opposes any causes. Our primary purpose is to stay sober and help other alcoholics to achieve sobriety. For help with a drinking problem, you may attend any A.A. meeting listed on this site. For information call our 24-hour help line at 408-374-8511. Other communications can be addressed to: office@aasanjose.org |
